Providing anticipatory guidance about the education providers receive on tongue tie, the many faceted symptoms of tongue tie for both parent and infant, the functional assessment versus the appearance of tongue and compensatory behaviors are all important for the parents to be able to make informed decisions and successfully navigate their way back to successful breastfeeding.
